Dr. Whyte is a hospitalist, devoted to caring for patients who are admitted to Samaritan Albany General Hospital and other Samaritan hospitals. She works with the patient’s regular clinician and other specialists to provide skilled and compassionate care. A job shadow with the medical director of a county health department during a tuberculosis outbreak inspired her to become a physician. Volunteering at a free clinic during medical school reinforced this decision. Dr. Whyte prefers working in a small-town hospital and she feels at home in the Pacific Northwest. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and taking road trips with her partner.
