S. Pinar Karakas, MD, is an Associate Staff physician in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Cleveland Clinic's main campus. She was appointed in 2006. Dr. Karakas completed her medical degree at Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. Her residency was completed at Ankara University, Turkey, with an additional residency and internship completed at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Karakas' fellowship was also completed at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Karakas' specialty interests include pediatric radiology, pediatric body and musculoskeletal MRI, pediatric neuroimaging and pediatric PET-CT.
