Ryan Scott Trombly, M.D., finished his Neurosurgical Residency in 2008 at the University of Miami MILLER School of Medicine. Upon completion of his year of Chief Residency, during which he was responsible for coordinating the activities of the junior residents, Dr. Trombly joined the esteemed faculty of the Department of Neurological Surgery in June of 2008.
Dr. Trombly currently serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery and his clinical practice is headquarted in University of Miami Hosptial, the University's flagship acute care hospital. His areas of specialization include:
Spinal surgery for trauma, degenerative disk disease and neoplasm
Complex spinal instrumentation
Kyphoplasty
Conservative management and alternative management of back pain and back injuries
Dr. Trombly has earned several awards throughout his educational career and has long been a devotee of community service. His volunteer efforts include a period as a Volunteer tutor and a Big Brother to Somalian refugees.
