Rosanna L. Lapham, native of Victoria, Texas has practiced pathology in the Spartanburg area since 1998. She received her bachelor of science degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Lapham underwent training in pathology at The University of Dundee Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, Scotland and the University of Texas in Houston. In addition she completed a year of surgical pathology specialist training in tumor pathology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Lapham is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathology and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
Before settling in Spartanburg, Dr. Lapham was an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Texas in Houston and spent one year in Gisborne, New Zealand as the only pathologist living in and serving the entire northeast cape of New Zealand.
Dr. Lapham has an interest in genitourinary pathology and has published articles in this field. She also is director of the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and Celligent Diagnostics South Carolina Histology Departments. She is active in the Gibbs Cancer Center and is seen presenting at many of the local tumor boards and is also in charge of pathology education for medical students and residents. Dr. Lapham also directs the quality assurance programs for Carolina Pathology Group in South Carolina.
