Dr. Ronald P. Josephson is a board-certified physician with additional certifications in gastroenterology, currently practicing at Prime Healthcare since 1998 and as a Senior Attending at Saint Francis Hospital. Dr. Josephson has been in practice since 1976 and previously practiced at Farmington Valley Gastroenterology Group.
Dr. Josephson received his medical degree from the State University at Buffalo School of Medicine, and completed his medical residency training at SUNY at Buffalo affiliated hospitals, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Josephson also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology from the University of Connecticut. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Josephson also served in the US Army as a Captain and Major of the Medical Corp in Germany.
An active participant in the medical community, Dr. Josephson is a member of the American Medical Association, Hartford County Medical Association and the Connecticut State Medical Society and its Gastroenterology Section. He also serves on the Pharmacy Committee of Saint Francis Hospital and previously served as a member of the House Staff Recruitment Committee as well.
