Dr. Ronald Kirshner is the Chief of Cardiac Services and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Rochester General Hospital in New York and a member of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Heart Center Staff. In 2004, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation established a formal cardiothoracic surgery partnership with Rochester General Hospital, one of only two Top 100 Cardiac Hospitals in New York State. He is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition to his practice of cardiac surgery, Dr. Kirshner has a specialty interest in the quality management of cardiac surgery and the application of the quality principles developed in industry to medicine and has extensive training is this area through leaders in this field including General Motors and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
