Dr. Hawkins earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Where he also completed his internship. He completed his residency at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and Washington University affiliated hospitals. He is board certified in radiation oncology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1989. Dr. Hawkins has written many research articles for scientific medical publications. His primary interest is in neurological oncology, pediatric oncology, pulmonary oncology and gastrointestinal oncology.
