Dr. Cappello completed his undergraduate education at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He completed medical school at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and an Internal Medicine internship and residency program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the Richmond Academy of Medicine and the Virginia Geriatrics Society.
