Dr. Fabricant is the Director and Founder of the Pacific Eye Institute. He received his M.D. degree from the University of California, San Diego and interned at the UCLA Harbor General Hospital. While a research scientist at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, he published numerous articles on cellular growth control. A pioneer of technology, Dr. Fabricant is the inventor of the Fabricant System, an aspiration device used for cataract removal. He performed volunteer work while training in the Tarahumara Mountains of Northern Mexico. He currently hosts Mission Cataract annually, in December, for uninsured patients.
