Dr. Robert Jensen, DDS, MSD Implant Experience As of January, 2002, we have placed over 2,700 osseointegrated implants. To our knowledge, we are aware of having lost 2.5% of those implants. This includes all implants that failed to achieve initial integration, all implants lost following integration, and all integrated implants removed for any other reason. This includes implants placed in various types of osseous grafts including sinus grafts. Because we have used care in positioning implants, we have yet to place an implant in a position that was un-restorable with the type of prosthesis planned with the patient.
