After completing three tours of duty in Iraq, Dr. Gustafson chose the Oregon Coast for its beauty and outdoor recreation. He enjoys the outdoors, running, and biking. Dr. Gustafson completed his undergraduate work at UCLA and earned his medical degree from the University of South Dakota. He completed his surgical internship and residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Gustafson has a depth of experience and technical skills to perform a wide-range of procedures, from emergency to minimally invasive surgeries, such as hernia repairs, gastric reflux, breast surgery and colonoscopies.
