Robert Owens, M.D. graduated from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1975. He performed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. In 1976 he served as a resident in General Surgery at Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. And, then as an Otolaryngology resident at Louisiana State University School of Medicine until 1980. Dr. Owens has been board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology since 1980. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Southern Medical Society, Louisiana Academy of Otolaryngology, Louisiana State Medical Society, and is a past president of the St. Tammany Parish Medical Society.
