Dr. Kaplan has been in practice since 1976. His office is a 5 doctor private practice in Los Alamitos that includes Dr. Joel Widelitz, Dr. Rei Tosu, Dr. Sumina Fukami, and Dr. Andrea Kallah. All of the physicians are board-certified pediatricians. The office takes almost all PPO and HMO insurance plans. Dr. Kaplan is also board certified in Chemical Dependency Diagnosis and Treatment. He has a strong interest and skill in dealing with adolescents and the problems related to drug/alcohol use. He is also experienced in treating behavioral problems and ADD. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at University of California, Irvine, and regularly teaches medical students and pediatric residents.
