Richard Pihlstrom, D.D.S., Diplomate Dr. Pihlstrom received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1993. He then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Downstate-Brooklyn/Kings County Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in 1998. After his training in New York, Dr. Pihlstrom practiced on Long Island for two years. Dr. Pihlstrom is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Pihlstrom is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association and the Northside Dental Society. In 2000, Dr. Pihlstrom and his wife moved back to Minnesota to practice oral surgery and start a family. He has two boys and thoroughly enjoys serving the community in which he practices. His clinical interests are in dentoalveolar, orthognathic and implant surgeries.
