Brief Intro

Dr. Manos is a fellowship trained orthopaedic spine surgeon who specializes in both simple and complex spine surgery. His practice includes treatment of patients with cervical, thoracic and lumbar conditions, including disc herniations, spinal stenosis and scoliosis. He offers second opinions for patients with complex spinal disorders and has over 20 years of experience in revision spine surgery.Dr. Manos is recognized both nationally and internationally as an innovator in spinal surgery and an expert in treatment of complex spinal conditions. He has lectured and taught courses throughout the United States and is published in peer reviewed journals. He was also invited to Children’s Hospital in Ukraine to educate and assist European spine surgeons in complex spinal deformity surgery. Dr. Manos served in the United States Navy for 16 years. He served as the Director of Spinal Surgery at Naval Medical Center of San Diego, where he educated orthopedic residents and proudly cared for our armed forces, their families and veterans. After leaving the military, he was invited to become a member of the San Diego Spine Fellowship, which has trained numerous spine surgeons who have gone on to national and international prominence. God, country and family are the cornerstones of Dr. Manos’ life. He gives back to his community through serving as a volunteer coach for youth football and baseball teams. He enjoys fishing, hunting and watching his sons play football and hockey. He is passionate about life, his profession and taking care of his patients. His greatest satisfaction comes from restoring function, mobility, and hope, to his patients so they can return to life!I believe in a comprehensive approach to spinal care that involves primary care, non-operative spine specialists, physical therapy, chiropractic care, and other alternative forms of medicine to treat patients as individuals. Surgery is a very small part of the equation in spinal care. Each patient brings a unique perspective to their spinal problem thus there is not just one treatment solution. I have dedicated the last 25 years in developing comprehensive spine programs to treat our patients. I feel the program at Froedtert Holy Family is very unique to our area and will address the needs of our community.
