Dr. Peter Ballenger attended Vanderbilt University and earned his B.S. degree from Memphis State University. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, he completed his residency at the City of Memphis Hospital and began private practice in 1967. Dr. Ballenger is a board-certified gynecologist and a fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Tennessee and past President of the Memphis and Shelby County OB/GYN Society. Additionally, he has served as President and Chief of Staff of Methodist Hospitals of Memphis. Â
