Dr. Raida Dovlatyan has a broad range of experience and expertise in several areas of medical rehabilitation, including stroke, amputation, orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, neuromuscular disorders, and brain and spinal cord injuries. She is also interested in pain management, gait dysfunction, reflex sympathetic dystrophy Huntington's disease and occupational medicine, as well as sports-related injuries and fitness issues. She received her medical degree from Yerevan Medical School and is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, having completed her residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. In addition, Dr. Dovlatyan completed a two-year surgical residency at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Dovlatyan, who joined Kessler Institute in 1990, oversees the general rehabilitation needs of patients who have had a stroke, brain injury or She also cares for patients who have musculoskeletal or neurological disorders. She also heads the wheelchair and adaptive equipment programs at Kessler's Saddle Brook campus. Dr. Dovlatyan is involved in clinical research, investigating fall prevention in the elderly and the management of chronic pain. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
