Dr. Rachel McCarter has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for 10 years. She originally called eastern North Carolina home and she practiced there for 10 years where she had the pleasure of caring for the people she grew up around. She was an active member of her church and many civic organizations. Most recently she served her local hospital as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for three years and the Chief of Staff for the last year at her local hospital.
She received her undergraduate training at East Carolina University where she obtained a BS in Biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude and was member of the Alpha Epilson Delta Society and was marshall for two years. She received her medical training at East Carolina Brody School of Medicine where she was a Brody Scholar for four years. She then attended Cabell Huntington Hospital for an obstetrics and gynecology residency where she was named “Most Outstanding Resident†during the course of her training.
