Brief Intro

Dr. Chaudhry received his medical degree from Cambridge University, United Kingdom and completed his residency at State University of New York at the University of Buffalo. Dr. Chaudhry is board certified from the American Board of Surgery. He then completed an abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. During this time he received extensive training in complex liver-bile duct-pancreas surgery and transplantation of the liver, pancreas, intestine and kidney. Dr. Chaudhry is certified by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and also serves as the Director of the Iowa Methodist Transplant Center. His primary focus is on the operative removal of tumors of the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, and kidney as well as kidney transplantation. Surgical interventions include: 1. Liver resection, open and laparoscopic 2. Liver sparing surgery using vascular exlusion with/without hypothermia. 3. Intraoperative ultrasound, open and laparoscopic 4.Radiofrequency or microwave ablation, open and laparoscopic 5. Pancreas resection, open and laparoscopic 6. Pancreas sparing duodenectomy 7. Gallbladder and biliary cancer surgery 8. kidney cancer surgery 9. Kidney transplantation. 10. laparoscopic donor nephrectomy
