Phillip Petersen, MD joined the CVHC staff in 1993, and travels to the Kooskia clinic twice a month. He is an Idaho native, born in Pocatello and raised in Preston. Before entering medical school, Dr. Peterson graduated first in his class from the Idaho State University School of Pharmacy. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah in 1986. He served his family practice internship at the Bremerton, Washington Naval Hospital completing it in 1987. He completed his residency in 1991 at the Jacksonville Florida Naval Hospital, serving seven years prior to returning to Idaho. He enjoys canoeing, nature photography, fishing and downhill skiing.
