Since October of 2010, Dr. Peter Bergquist has been the orthopedic surgeon at Mountain View Regional Hospital, specializing in total joint surgery, shoulder surgery, knee surgery and sports medicine. He practiced previously in Norfolk, Nebraska at Faith Regional Health Services Orthopedic Center with a focus on sports medicine and general orthopedic surgery for complex fractures and joint reconstruction. Dr. Bergquist attained his medical education and training from some of the finest institutions in Chicago and enjoyed success early in his career. He was elected Medical School Class President and received the Orthopedic Surgery Internship Recognition Award for his dedication to the field of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Bergquist served as a team physician for the University of Arizonas athletic programs, including the Arizona Wildcats, the University football team, as a Sports Medicine Fellow at the University of Arizona. Dr. Bergquist brings to Mountain View Regional Hospital the latest advancements in total joint replacements. He was the first orthopedic surgeon in northeast Nebraska to perform Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement surgery and the first orthopedic surgeon to perform the Biomet Customized Total Knee Replacement in the state of Wyoming.
