Farm-bred in Nebraska, Dr. Harding learned at an early age how to trouble shoot problems when things weren%u2019t functioning properly. She learned that it was ok to patch things with a quick fix for the short-term, but that you had to get down to the bottom of the real problem if you didn't want to court disaster. In health care, getting down to the bottom of the problem is less expensive, less invasive and more effective than "quick fixes." What would it take to feel better now than when we were 18?
