Our team has extensive training in basic neuroscience and psychopharmacology, as well as multiple types of psychotherapy to include cognitive behavioral, cognitive processing, and psychodynamic as well as motivational interviewing techniques. We believe in using medications for psychiatric conditions judiciously- the lowest effective dose and least number of medications necessary to alleviate suffering. We pay careful attention to side effects and the interactions between medications. We listen closely to our patients and develop treatment plans in a mutually respectful, collaborative fashion. We are current with the latest developments in psychiatric treatment and our staff is published in peer reviewed journals. With all of that in mind, we still believe that we learn the most from our patients.
