Dr. Vieta received dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and History at the University of Notre Dame. He received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed his residency in surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then completed a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Vieta’s special interests and expertise include open and minimally invasive treatment of complex arterial diseases of the carotid, aorta, visceral and peripheral arteries as well as treatment of venous conditions such as varicose veins and blood clots. He is an associate member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
