My practice is limited to outpatient treatment of all psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to: depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorders, PTSD, bipolar and schizophrenia. My practice includes medication management and the additional and necessary provision of psychotherapeutic interventions for these disorders, for stage of life issues, partner and parent child relationship problems and for resolution of trauma and complicated grief. It is my conviction that while psychiatric medications can be necessary and even essential in addressing aspects of psychiatric illness, they are often an incomplete solution and must be utilized judicially and in coordination with psychotherapeutic intervention for more complete solutions. A provider must be able to understand and intervene in the entire life context and medical status of their patients if they are to be effective. This conceptualization guides my interventions with the individuals and families with whom I work.
