Brief Intro

Dr Winkler is double board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. Dr. Winkler completed her residency at Brown University School of Medicine, where she earned multiple teaching and research awards including “Brown University Top Resident Research Award”. She completed three years of fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, conducting cutting edge research in the field of reproduction with special interest in the aging process of the ovary and the effect of fertility treatments on the ovarian function. Dr. Winkler received her medical degree from the University of Pavia in Italy, where she graduated with the highest distinction, “Summa cum Laude”. Dr. Winkler, after completing her training in both Europe and Israel, moved to the US bringing with her expertise and unique approaches to fertility treatments. Dr. Winkler is in fact licensed to practice medicine on 3 different continents! Dr. Winkler understands that each patient has their own unique set of medical, emotional, and social needs. As such, she believes that each treatment should be tailored based on the specific patient, rather than a pre-set protocol. Further, Dr. Winkler integrates, when possible, a more “Natural” and holistic approach to fertility treatment. This is reflected in her mastery of multiple types of stimulations and treatments including; natural frozen embryo transfer, standard IVF, natural IVF, mini IVF, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGS), egg freezing, egg donation and surrogacy. With her international background and fluency in 3 languages, Dr Winkler is also uniquely equipped to conduct “third party reproduction” both nationally, and overseas and she frequently treats patients from around the globe, helping couples worldwide fulfill their dream of becoming parents. Dr. Winkler's ultimate goal as a fertility specialist is maintaining a high pregnancy rate, which can only be achieved by tailoring the most suitable fertility treatment to the patient and by providing constant and open communication and personalized care. Dr. Winkler has authored numerous scientific papers and chapters in reproductive text books. She is a member of numerous, prestigious societies such as American society of Reproductive Medicine and is a frequent guest lecturer. During her medical career, Dr. Winkler has earn multiple medical and teaching awards, including the “Patient Choice Award,” “Compassionate Physician Award” and “American Top OB/GYN” awards.
