Nishant Tageja, M.D., a hematologist/oncologist who trained at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), is a member of the staff at Wheeling Hospital?s Schiffler Cancer Center. After earning his medical degree from the University of Delhi in India, Dr. Tageja completed his internship and residency in iInternal medicine at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. He then joined National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, as a clinical fellow and completed fellowships in medical oncology at National Cancer Institute and hematology at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. During this time, he also served with several prominent clinicians and researchers at the Georgetown University, The Johns Hopkins University and Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Tageja has authored or coauthored more than 40 research papers, reviews and book chapters and served as a co-investigator on multiple clinical research studies.
