Brief Intro

Dr. Nirav Raval, a cardiovascular specialist in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. His expertise includes post-operative and medical management of cardiac transplantation and left ventricular assist device implantation. Optimal medical therapy of heart failure, as well as, device therapy such as cardiac resynchronization (biventricular pacemakers and defibrillators) is also a specialty of Dr. Raval. Dr. Raval graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in the top 10 percent of his graduating class. Additionally, he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious medical honor society. A native of Ohio, Dr. Raval is a summa cum laude graduate of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine and Residency programs at Barnes Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, MO. At Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, he completed two fellowships: Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. Additionally, as a fellow, he initiated several research projects in the field of congestive heart failure and gained clinical and work experience in nuclear cardiology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Nuclear Cardiology by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC). Dr. Raval has also been inducted into the American College of Cardiology as a Fellow. Dr. Raval has a driving interest in cardiovascular research and has participated in trials ranging from pharmaceutical trials to "first-in-man" device trials. His seamless integration of clinical research into clinical practice offers his patients options beyond the current guidelines.
