Nicholas John Russo, M.D., is a Vascular surgeon who has recently joined Jersey Coast Vascular Associates, part of Hackensack Meridian Medical Group. Dr. Russo’s clinical interests consist of peripheral vascular care including peripheral arterial disease, venous insufficiency and varicose veins, aneurysms, and carotid revascularization for stroke prevention by utilizing modern, safe, and effective treatments.
Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Russo was Chief Resident at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York where he graduated with distinction in leadership and quality. Dr. Russo was recognized with several scholarships for his research work throughout his training and played a role in Albany Medical Center becoming the first Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and American College of Surgeons (ACS) accredited vascular center of excellence. Dr. Russo’s passion for the vascular field is apparent through his academic and clinical achievements within the Society for Vascular Surgery as well as multiple community-based service awards. He will be working alongside Frank Sharp, M.D., Scott Cluley, M.D., Sung Kwon, M.D., and Rainier Aquino, M.D. who have been practicing for over 25 years.
