Dr. Karp, a Urogynecologist at Carilion Clinic, specializes in vaginal reconstructive surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and fistulas. She completed her residency at the University of Virginia and a Urogynecology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on rectovaginal fistulas, urinary tract infections, and ovarian management during hysterectomy. Dr. Karp's clinical interests include vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence treatments. Additionally, she's the Assistant Medical Student Clerkship Director for Obstetrics in Gynecology and researches medical education, narrative medicine, and physician burnout.
