Dr. Thirumoorthi is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease and is Section Chief of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Department at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He completed his Pediatric residency at Wyler's Children's Hospital of the University of Chicago and a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at Wayne State University Medical School. He is on the faculty of the Wayne State Department of Pediatrics and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Thirumoorthi has a special interest in children experiencing fever of unknown origin and travel-related diseases. Dr. Thirumoorthi was named a "Top Doc" in Hour Detroit magazine's 2007 and 2008 survey.
