Dr. Ahmad is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. He is a child psychiatrist working at Peachford Behavioral Hospital, as well as, private practice in the Roswell/Alpharetta Area.
Dr. Ahmad completed General Psychiatry training from University of Missouri, Kansas City and fellowship from Emory University School of Medicine.
He has extensive experience in the different aspects of psychiatry, as well as, academic psychiatry, and was an associate professor at Marshall University until 1997, when he moved to Atlanta.
Some of Dr. Ahmads academic works include a review of Seratonin Syndrome, a case report about temporal lobe surgery and associated delusions of sexual abuse, and a literature review on right hemisphere syndrome. He is usually invited as guest speaker from different organizations to speak about various aspects of psychiatry.
Though Dr Ahmads treatment approach is very conservative as well as trying to get the best results with minimum doses of psychotropics.
