DR. MIHAE YU, MD is BOARD CERTIFIED in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery.She provides consultations and performs surgical procedures for the conditions involving the abdomen, breast, endocrine system, gall bladder, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, colon), liver, pancreas, and skin/soft tissue. She also treats all types of hernias. Dr. Yu utilizes minimally invasive techniques, such as laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, when appropriate to the patient’s history and current condition. Dr. Yu is fellowship trained and board certified in surgical critical care and has more than thirty years of experience in managing critical care patients. She is also actively involved in academic and research activities in surgical critical care. This research has focused on shock and shock resuscitation, tissue oxygen monitoring, and intravascular volume measurements. She is also one of three editors in the last two editions of the critical care textbook, Civetta-Taylor-Kirby Critical Care.Dr. Yu is trained in state-of-the-art surgical technology, including minimally invasive robotic surgery.
