Brief Intro

I began practicing pediatrics in South County in 1973. I have been married to my wife, Vera, for 38 years. We have two children, Michael, a pediatric dentist and Vanessa, a PhD. in sports psychology. Most of the pediatrics that I use on a daily basis was learned in parenting these two special people. I have a special interest in infant and toddler growth and development, both mental and physical. My other special interest is in the parenting of first children (I am a recovered one). My basic philosophy about children is that we must listen to what they have to say from their very first sound and in doing so facilitate their development of "self". My knowledge of toddler development has increased immensely with the moving of my grandson, Spencer, to San Clemente. It will increase every exciting new day.
