His prior research focused on improving outcomes through early diagnosis and management of headaches and sleep disorders. He has authored a medical textbook chapter on sleep apnea and has several peer-reviewed publications on the diagnosis of sleep disorders, sleep apnea and diabetes, and sleep apnea and neuromuscular disease.
