Michael Joyce, MD, specializes in treatment of fractures, musculoskeletal tumors, and arthritis, and is the Head of the Orthopaedic Trauma Section. After completing fellowships in both orthopaedic oncology and complex orthopaedic trauma, he has developed a very active practice, providing a regional resource for treatment of severe musculoskeletal injuries and fracture which fail to heal. His expertise includes reconstruction of pelvic and acetabular fractures, Ilizarov reconstructive procedures, limb salvage, and allograft reconstructive procedures. Dr. Joyce joined the staff at Cleveland Clinic in January, 1993, after serving for ten years on staff at Case Western Reserve University. He remains an Associate Clinical Professor Orthopaedic Surgery at Case Western Reserve University and is active in teaching medical students, residents, and orthopaedic surgeons. He is nationally recognized in the field of Musculoskeletal Tissue Banking and served as President of the American Association of Tissue Banks from 1997-1999.
