Andrew J. Doorey, M.D., FACC, earned an A.B. in biology from Princeton University, where he graduated cum laude, and an M.D. from Harvard Medical School with the Rose Segal Prize. His internship and residency were done at the University of Michigan, and his fellowships were done at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
Dr. Doorey is board-certified in cardiology, internal medicine and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, Council on Clinical Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention.
A member of the Aerospace Medical Association, he has a special interest in aviation medicine and is a member of the federal air surgeon's Cardiovascular Advisory Panel. He is a clinical professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Doorey's sub-specialties include cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology and clinical research.
