After completing his MD and PhD degrees as well as his Residency training at the University of Chicago, Dr. Press joined the faculty as an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology (1981) and in 1985 received an appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1987, Dr. Press was promoted to associate professor in the departments of pathology and obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Press joined the USC faculty in 1988 as an Associate Professor and in 1993 was promoted to Professor in the department of pathology. Since 1998, he has also held the title of Harold E. Lee Chair for Cancer Research.
