Dr. Dzeda is a 1991 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He previously earned undergraduate degrees in both microbiology and zoology, and completed master's level course work and training in medical physics at Louisiana State University. Following an internship in the field of internal medicine, Dr. Dzeda left Louisiana State in 1992 to pursue a residency in radiation oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, where he served as a chief resident in radiation oncology. He was awarded an American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Fellowship for his achievements in radiation oncology.
He is board certified in radiation oncology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He is also a selected reviewer for the American Journal of Clinical Oncology. He co-authored the chapter on radiation treatment of benign disease in the leading text of radiation oncology.
Dr. Dzeda is involved in several of Christiana Care's Cancer Health Improvement Teams, and has special interests in head and neck tumors, gastrointestinal tumors and radiotherapy. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Medical Society of Delaware, Delaware Society for Clinical Oncology and the Mid-Atlantic Society of Radiation Oncologists.
