Dr. Michael Hermann is an experienced non-operative spine specialist who offers comprehensive care for individuals suffering from spine-related conditions. He plays a key role in CSMO’s spine team by focusing on conservative and non-surgical approaches to manage various spinal disorders. Dr. Hermann’s areas of expertise include:Non-Operative Spine Care, Interventional Techniques including Injections, Nerve Blocks, Radiofrequency Rhizotomy, Neuroablation and Spinal Cord Stimulation,Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Peripheral Nerve Injury, Non-Opioid Pain Management Dr. Hermann earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. He completed a surgical internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and a residency in anesthesiology from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston (the oldest and largest Harvard teaching hospital). Dr. Hermann then completed a pain medicine fellowship from the Stanford University Medical Center Division of Pain Medicine located in Redwood City, California. His fellowship emphasized a multidisciplinary and interventional treatment approach for individuals with acute and chronic pain including ultrasound and fluoroscopic techniques. His primary goals are sustainable and safe therapies, including active modalities. Dr. Herman sees patients at CSMO’s Atrium office and performs procedures at the McCallie Avenue office and at CSMO Surgery Center.
