Dr. Zaander grew up in Lake Oswego. She attended Lawrence University in Wisconsin, graduating cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and biomedical ethics. She returned to Oregon for medical school at Oregon Health & Science University—and went back to the Midwest to complete her specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. While there she received the Hardin Olson Resident Research Award for her research into pelvic pain and changes of the pelvic bones during pregnancy.
Dr. Zaander is thrilled to be able to return to Oregon and practice medicine in Clackamas County. She enjoys following her patients through all the phases of their lives as they build and raise their families. Her clinical interests include contraceptive management, adolescent health, the evaluation and management of abnormal pap smears, general obstetrics and minimally-invasive surgery.
Dr. Zaander lives with her husband and young son. They have an Australian shepherd, and enjoy cooking, hiking, cross-county skiing and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
