Brief Intro

Dr. Laird received her medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock. She completed her pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. She is board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. Dr. Laird joined the Colorado Springs practice in 1997 and previously practiced neonatology in Missouri. She is interested in all aspects of Neonatology; her special interest is in leading Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) in the NICU at Memorial Hospital. CQI involves the sytematic application of evidenc based medicine to achieve the best patient outcomes, and the monitoring of these outcomes. Dr. Laird enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and teenage daughter, and enjoys cooking and reading. She is also active in community health issues through the El Paso County Health Department, and in school-age wellness initiatives through School District 11.
