Dr. Marquis Peacock is a Psychiatrist in North Carolina who has been practicing since 2018. Dr. Peacock attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Chemistry. His next stop was UNC's School of Medicine where he discovered his passion for treating mental illness. This led him to pursue further psychiatry training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. While in Texas, he trained in psychopharmacology as well as insight-oriented and problem-focused therapies. Dr. Peacock is patient-centered, approachable, and warm. His vision for mental health care is holistic and factors in physical, mental, emotional, social, and sleep health. His goal is to deliver care above the standard of care, so he spends a lot of time thinking about the best approach for each client.
After an extensive evaluation, he thoroughly explains the diagnosis and walks each client through treatment options. He prides himself on using the minimum amount of medications necessary to help his clients accomplish their goals. Outside of the office, Dr. Peacock's interests include hiking, fragrance making, active sports (basketball, tennis, biking), anime, cooking, and making ceramics.
