Brief Intro

Dr. Cook earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky where he received the Upjohn Award for Excellent Clinical Proficiency. He completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson, South Carolina. Dr. Cook has practiced medicine in Newnan for more than 25 years and is board-certified in family medicine. Prior to joining the Piedmont Physicians Group, he was in private practice. He is the current president of the Coweta Medical Society and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Cook enjoys being a physician and finds solving patients%u2019 problems stimulating. Although he likes all aspects of medicine, he is especially interested in psychiatry and pharmacology. Treating patients and helping them overcome suffering is most rewarding to him. Dr. Cook is happily married with three grown sons in college, five dogs, and one cat. He enjoys music, puzzles, Sudoku, reading, and playing with computers. Dr. Cook is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
