Dr. Billante received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, graduating cum laude from Vanderbilt University School of Arts and Science in Nashville, Tennessee. He received his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville. He treats athletes of all ages, and has experience at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, is an active fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the McCue Society.Dr. Billante has been recognized as a Top Doc 2020, 2024, and 2025 by Austin Monthly Magazine. Winners are nominated by their peers as among the best in their region/nation in their medical specialty.
