Dr Hwang graduated from Harvard College, magna cum laude in Biochemical Science. She graduated from University of Michigan Medical School, where she also completed her residency training in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology. In 2008 Dr. Hwang was awarded the Walther Cancer Institute Durant Fellowship. She was also honored as a Howard Hughes Medical Student Research Fellow. Dr. Hwang has published multiple peer-reviewed publications and has extensive research experience.
