I grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, where my father and great-grandfather were both physicians. My life goal was always to become a surgeon like my father, serving an area that did not have my specialty, which is how I came to southern New Hampshire in 1978. the city has been very good to me, and I have enjoyed living and raising my family here.
