Dr. Patterson is the Medical Director of the Legacy Good Samaritan Weight Management Institute. She is internationally recognized for her sub-specialty work in laparoscopic bariatric surgery for the treatment of morbid obesity. Dr. Patterson is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Patterson is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. Research interests include clinical outcomes of bariatric surgery and mechanisms of action of these procedures.
