Welcome to my Home Page!
As a practicing anesthesiologist at Kaiser Permanente, my goal is to provide you with information and care that will make your anesthesia experience as pleasant and safe as possible.
As part of the anesthesia care team, I will be active in providing and coordinating anesthesia services that cover complete perioperative anesthesia care, including the preoperative evaluation and care plan, intraoperative anesthesia, and postoperative pain management. In addition I provide obstetrical anesthesia and treatment of some chronic pain conditions.
The prospect of needing anesthesia services can be anxiety provoking for many people and understandably bring to mind many questions. Your preoperative anesthetic evaluation is also an important time to ask more questions and re-affirm previously answered ones.
I look forward to being part of your care here at Kaiser Permanente.
About Me
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison for both my undergraduate and medical school education. Having joined the Navy during medical school, I came west to complete my anesthesia residency at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. It was there that I began my anesthesia practice by remaining as a staff anesthesiologist, and training new anesthesia residents. Having completed my Navy obligation, I spent several years in private practice before joining Kaiser Permanente in 1998 when the opportunity arose.
I am a member of the local medical societies and the International Anesthesia Research Society.
My hobbies include photography, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and all outdoor activities.
