Dr. Marc Connery is pleased to welcome you to BYP Kids, formerly Brickyard Pediatrics of Hobart, Indiana. Dr. Connery, a board-certified Pediatrician, founded BYP Kids with the intent to bring a classic hometown physician’s office for children while incorporating modern technology. A BYP Kids, Dr. Connery and his team are all about communication. He is dedicated to his patients and ensures a great relationship with every family. Please don’t hesitate to contact him if you have any questions about Allergy Testing, Annual Physicals, Developmental Screening, House Calls, Newborn Visits or more. Click here to go to our contact us page.In addition to in-office infectious disease testing (Urinalysis, Strep, Mono, Influenza, RSV) BYP Kisa has contracted with a laboratory service providing more in-depth immunologic PCR testing for respiratory infections, wound infections, STDs, UTIs, and even drugs of abuse. And perhaps most remarkably: House Calls for newborns and children with significant disabilities.Dr. Connery lives in this community and takes his own call with an after-hours answering service that texts him and delivers your voicemail directly to him.Meet the DoctorDr. Connery is an Illiana native who remembers going to Sauzer’s Kiddieland in Scherillville and watching Channel 32 advertising drag races on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday at the U.S. 30 Drag strip in Hobart. After experiencing what the Big Ten had to offer at the University of Illinois – Urbana, Dr. Connery received a bachelor’s degree in Physiology. With a mind to enter primary care, he attended the Rockford campus of the University of Illinois, world-renowned for its focus on preventative care and family medicine. From there he completed his pediatric residency and subsequently attained Board Certification in Pediatrics.Eventually settling down in Hobart, he has participated in regional healthcare including acting as the pediatric medical director at Saint Mary’s. Following the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Connery emphasizes preventive care and evidence-based medicine while not neglecting the personal touch. Described as a kid himself, he still surprises the children with his knowledge of comic books, Disney cartoons, and the occasional sleight of hand and mimicry. After spending eleven years as a physician in big, multi-specialty groups, though some have called him crazy, he has set out to show that a single practitioner can still provide good personalized care in this age of Doc-In-A-Box and walk-in clinics.Dr. Connery and his dedicated staff welcome you to call today to schedule an appointment! 219-507-0725
